CEL Machining Services Center, a sister company located in Phoenix, supports the precision production needs of test cell instrumentation customers.
Ground Support Equipment Tooling
In late 2007, with the acquisition of the Machining Service Center ( formerly American Tool & Die) and company acquisitions of GSE tool drawings, manuals and technical manuals, CEL now serves the turbine engine testing, maintenance, repair and overhaul market worldwide. Our expanded marketing, design, prototype and production machinist staffs can meet the tool design, and production needs for any turbine APU and fan engine.
Company History
The Cleveland Electric Laboratories Company Inc. was founded in 1920 to provide repair service of electric meters for railroad and Cleveland industries. When formal Ohio Corporation papers were filed in 1930, we were already supplying temperature instrumentation, calibration and on-site service for steel and heat treat companies in Ohio. The company continued to grow in sales and employment by adding the manufacture of thermocouple sensors and components, platinum thermocouple wire, and new industrial temperature control products.
In 1954, Frederick J. Lieske, an employee of CEL for 12 years, became owner and President. He successfully grew the company until his passing in 1984. Fred’s son, Jack Lieske, was appointed President of the family-owned business in 1981
